Mini-games (Discord Activity)
Description
User Guide
About twenty mini-games playable directly in a voice channel, with nothing to install, and which pay out your server's currency. For administrators who want one more reason to get together in voice.
What it does
- Opens a Discord Activity (a web game embedded in Discord) from any voice channel.
- Offers 1-on-1 duels, solo games, multiplayer games and a casino section.
- Pays out your server's currency at the end of a game, according to a scale you choose game by game.
- Applies anti-abuse safeguards: daily earnings cap, cooldown between two payouts, minimum game duration.
- Lets you customise content: Quiz questions, 3D Race tracks, Laser Arena maps.
- Works on desktop and mobile.
Quick start (Admin)
- Create a currency first in the "Multi-Currency" module: with no currency, no game can be enabled (see Server currency).
- Open the Games / Activity module in the dashboard: the games are shown as tiles, grouped by category.
- Click a game, enable it, choose the currency earned and the payout mode.
- Fill in the safeguards (cap per day per player, cooldown, minimum duration) — this is what stops two players from letting each other win on a loop.
- Save, then repeat for each game you want to open. Games that are not enabled pay nothing.
- Tell your members to join a voice channel and start the bot's activity from Discord's activities button (the rocket-shaped icon).
Commands
This module has no commands. A mini-game is launched from the activities button of a voice channel, not from the chat. All configuration happens in the dashboard.

Settings from the dashboard
Each game tile opens an editor that only shows the relevant fields.
Normal games (non-casino):
- Currency earned — required in order to enable the game.
- Payout mode, depending on the type of game:
- Fixed payout — an amount for a win, one for a draw (when the game allows one) and one for a loss, as a participation prize. This is the only mode for duels.
- By score — the payout is the score multiplied by an amount per point. Available in solo and multiplayer.
- By ranking — an amount for 1st, 2nd and 3rd; the others get nothing. Available in multiplayer.
- Safeguards — cap per day per player, cooldown between two payouts, minimum game duration.
Casino games:
- Currency wagered, minimum bet and maximum bet.
- House edge as a percentage: it reduces the payout. At 0%, the game is fair; the higher you go, the more currency the casino removes from the economy.
- Cooldown between two bets.
Customisable content:
- On the Quiz tile, a button gives access to the server's question bank: manual creation, sorting into themes, adding media (image, music, video) and an AI-assisted question generator whose suggestion you review before saving.
- On the 3D Race tile, a track editor: draw with the mouse, place scenery and obstacles, several world sizes.
- On the Laser Arena tile, a 3D map editor: walls, breakable blocks, glass, mirrors, trapdoors, power-ups and spawn points.
Good to know
- Without a currency, nothing can be enabled. The dashboard flags this with a warning, and the save button refuses to enable a game with no currency chosen.
- Payouts are computed server-side. A player cannot declare a fake score or forge a win from their browser: the server arbitrates the game, and the casino draws its results on the bot's side. Payment is also protected against duplicates — the same game only pays once.
- Set the safeguards before opening a game to the whole server. With no daily cap and no cooldown, two members can chain games while taking turns letting each other win. The minimum duration blocks games abandoned after three seconds.
- The casino is not neutral for your economy. At a 0% house edge, it redistributes as much as it takes: currency never becomes scarcer. Raise the house edge if you want it to remove currency from circulation. Bets are debited and winnings credited inseparably: a member cannot lose their bet without the round being recorded.
- An Activity is launched from a voice channel, never from a text channel. Your members therefore need to be able to join a voice channel and start activities there: check the "Use Activities" permission on the relevant roles.
- The Quiz uses a default question bank as long as you have not added any of your own. As soon as your list contains at least one question, yours is the one used.
- Real-time games (Orb race, Sumo, Laser Arena, 3D Race) need a decent connection and a device capable of rendering 3D. They work on mobile, but an old phone will make the experience unpleasant.
- If you use a custom bot, Activities must be enabled on your own Discord application before your members can play them. The procedure is described on the custom bot page of your premium area.
