Bot languages
Description
User Guide
The bot speaks 10 languages. Choose your server's language with a single command or from the dashboard: replies, embeds, buttons and menus follow immediately.
What it does
- Translates all of the bot's messages into the language chosen for the server.
- Can also follow automatically the language configured in your Discord server's settings.
- Lets you re-post panels already published (buttons, menus) in the new language.
- Falls back to English when a translation is missing, so that no text is ever left blank.
Available languages
Français · English · Deutsch · Português · Español · Русский · Українська · 中文 · 日本語 · 한국어
Quick start (Admin)
- Check the current language:
/languages current. - Choose your language:
/languages lang, then select it from the list. - Re-post the persistent panels:
/languages rerender. - You can do the same thing from the dashboard, in the "Bot language" card on the server home page.
Commands
| Command | Description | Who can use it |
|---|---|---|
/languages lang | Sets the bot's language for this server (list of 10 choices). | Administrator |
/languages auto | Switches back to automatic detection: the bot follows the Discord server's language. | Administrator |
/languages current | Shows the language currently in use, and whether it was chosen or detected. | Everyone |
/languages rerender | Re-posts the bot's persistent panels in the current language. | Administrator |
All of these commands reply privately.
Settings from the dashboard
On the server home page, the "Bot language" card — reserved for administrators — offers:
- a dropdown list with the 10 languages and the "Automatic (Discord server language)" option;
- a display of the effective language currently applied;
- a reminder, after saving, to run
/languages rerenderto update the panels already published.
Good to know
- Order in which the language is decided: your explicit choice comes first; failing that, the language declared in your Discord server's settings; failing that again, English.
- The Discord server's declared language is only reliable on Community servers. Elsewhere, Discord returns American English: in automatic mode, a French-speaking non-community server will therefore speak English. In that case, choose the language explicitly with
/languages lang. - Messages already published do not change on their own.
/languages rerenderre-posts them for the modules that support it: Tickets, Shop, AutoRole, AutoThread, Rules, Staff Time Clock, Role Roster, TennoTrap and Multi-Currency. The command reports how many messages were updated, and flags the modules that failed. - The names and descriptions of slash commands follow each member's own Discord client language, not the server's: Discord is the one displaying them, and it uses each person's preferences. A member set to English will therefore see the descriptions in English, even on a server configured in French. The content of the replies, however, does follow the server's language.
- Text drawn inside an image (rank cards, in particular): it stays in English for Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, because the fonts used do not cover those alphabets. The rest of the interface is properly translated.
- What the bot does not translate: the text you entered yourself (welcome message, shop items, rules, auto-responses…) or data coming from external services. It is displayed exactly as you wrote it.
- Direct messages sent by the bot follow the language of the server the action came from, not the recipient's.
- If a sentence is not yet translated into your language, it is displayed in English — the fallback happens sentence by sentence, never for a whole module at once.
