Challenges & Cards

Description

User Guide

Liven up your community with weekly challenges validated by the staff, collectible cards, loot boxes, a vault with a secret code and surprise drops in the chat. Aimed at administrators who want to give their server currency a purpose.

What it does

  • Posts weekly challenges that members pick, then validates their proof in a dedicated channel.
  • Lets members collect cards (6 rarities) grouped into collections, drawn from paid boosters.
  • Sells loot boxes whose contents are drawn at random according to probabilities.
  • Opens a vault that members try to unlock with a secret code.
  • Triggers reactive events: a reward appears at random in the chat, for the first to click.
  • Handles prestige, badges and rare items, all visible on a profile.

Quick start (Admin)

  1. Create a currency first in the "Multi-Currency" module: this whole module relies on it (see Server currency).
  2. Open the Challenges & Cards module in the dashboard.
  3. Challenges tab: create a challenge (title, criterion, reward, currency), then declare the validation channel for that currency — this is where the proofs will arrive.
  4. Cards tab: create a collection, then a few cards; Boosters tab: create a booster and set its probabilities per rarity.
  5. Vaults tab: create a vault (secret code, attempts per day, prize).
  6. Events tab: set the drop chance, the duration and the reward — then add at least one allowed channel, otherwise nothing will ever appear.
  7. Tell your members about /challengesystem defi liste and /challengesystem profil voir.

Settings from the dashboard

The module comes in ten tabs, and covers everything the staff commands do — generally more comfortably (tables, forms, role and channel pickers):

  • Challenges — list of challenges (title, type, criterion, reward type and value, associated currency, proof required or not) and the table of validation channels per currency.
  • Cards — cards (name, description, image by URL, rarity, collection) and collections.
  • Boosters — price, currency, number of cards drawn (min/max) and a draw table per type and rarity with a weight.
  • Loot boxes — boxes (price, currency, stock) and their prizes with a draw weight.
  • Vaults — secret code, hint, attempts per day, prize, and the "disable the other active vaults" option.
  • Prestige — threshold (total across currencies), role granted, multiplier shown on the prestige card.
  • Badges — name, emoji, image, and the Discord role granted along with the badge (optional).
  • Rare items — name, description, emoji, image.
  • Events — chance per message (0 to 1), cooldown, number of winners, duration, reward.
  • Chaos — Chaos Chests and their effects: global loss, casino boost, global bonus, shop shutdown, reversed earnings.

Good to know

  • The dashboard shows an "Unstable module — under development" warning. It is young and may change without notice: test it in a quiet channel before announcing an event to the whole server.
  • Nothing works without a currency. Challenges, boosters, loot boxes, vaults and events are all attached to a currency from the Multi-Currency module. With no currency created, the forms will stay empty.
  • Challenges do not validate themselves. The "type" and the "criterion" are free text: the bot measures no progress. The member picks the challenge, sends a file as proof, and a staff member approves or rejects it with the buttons on the message posted in the validation channel. With no validation channel configured for the challenge's currency, the proof goes nowhere.
  • A challenge can only be picked once per member: there is no "play again".
  • Prestige resets the counters. When a member's total across currencies reaches the threshold, all their balances are reset to 0, their prestige level goes up by 1 and the configured role is granted. Announce this clearly, or your members will experience it as a loss.
  • Vault: the code is stored encrypted (nobody can read it back from the database), attempts are limited per day (from 1 to 100, 5 by default) and reset each day. Creating a vault disables the previous ones by default.
  • Reactive events only appear in the channels you list. As long as no channel is added, the drop chance does nothing. The bot also needs permission to write in those channels.
  • Purchases are charged before the draw: opening a loot box or a booster checks the balance, reserves the stock, then draws the prize. An exhausted stock blocks the opening.
  • Not all staff commands are protected the same way. Most require "Manage Server" or "Administrator", but a few creation commands (challenges and loot boxes in particular) check nothing on the bot's side. Restrict /challengesystem to your trusted roles from Server Settings → Integrations.
  • The module has more than forty subcommands: prefer the dashboard for configuration, and leave your members only the viewing and gameplay commands.
